The claim process

How a warranty claim works

  1. Report the issue

    Call, email or submit a claim online with your order number and, ideally, a short video or photo of the fault.

  2. Remote diagnosis

    Our technicians diagnose more than 60% of faults remotely, usually within a single phone call, saving you an unnecessary engineer visit.

  3. Engineer visit or part dispatch

    If a physical visit is required, we book an accredited engineer within 3–5 working days. Replacement parts are shipped directly, tracked.

  4. Repair or replacement

    The engineer repairs the fault or, if the unit is beyond economical repair, we ship a like-for-like replacement at no cost to you.

  5. Case closed

    You receive a digital service report for your records and, if applicable, a small courtesy extension to your warranty period.

Manufacturer warranties

Every Climio product is supplied with its full manufacturer warranty — typically 2 years on portables and fans, 5 years on premium wall-mounted units, and up to 7 years on selected inverter systems. Warranty registration is completed for you automatically at the point of dispatch, so there's nothing for you to fill in.

What's covered

Cover applies to manufacturing defects, component failures, refrigerant loss where a manufacturing fault is proven, and control-board or sensor faults. Labour costs for warranty-authorised engineer visits are included in full — including travel — for the entire warranty period.

What's not covered

Cosmetic wear from normal use, accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised modifications, installation by a non-F-Gas engineer, damage caused by extreme weather events, and consumables such as air filters and remote batteries. Extended commercial use beyond the intended residential duty cycle may also be excluded on domestic-rated models.

How to make a claim

The fastest route is to email warranty@climio.co.uk with your order number, a short description of the fault, any error code shown on the remote, and — where possible — a photo or short video. Our technicians will triage within one working day and confirm next steps.

Required documentation

You'll need your Climio order number (or original invoice), the model and serial number of the unit (both visible on the side sticker of the indoor unit), and — if a Climio-managed installation was carried out — your installation reference. We hold all of this on file for you already; the numbers just help us find it faster.

Repair process

For faults requiring an on-site visit, we send a manufacturer-accredited engineer with the correct diagnostic equipment and, where the fault is known, the replacement parts on the first visit. Same-day fixes are our target; when a further part is required we prioritise dispatch and rebook within 5 working days.

Replacement process

If your unit is beyond economical repair, we replace it with the same model — or the current equivalent if the model has been superseded. Replacements are dispatched within 5 working days, and installation of the new unit is arranged at no cost when the original was Climio-installed.

How long is the warranty on a Climio wall-mounted unit?
Standard Climio wall-mounted air conditioners include a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Selected premium inverter models include up to 7 years.
Do I need to register my warranty?
No — we complete the manufacturer registration for you automatically the moment your order is dispatched.
Who carries out warranty repairs?
Manufacturer-accredited engineers, coordinated by our warranty team from start to finish. You never have to chase a third party.
Is labour included?
Yes — labour, travel and diagnostic costs are all included for the full warranty period.
Does the warranty still apply if I install the unit myself?
Wall-mounted and ceiling systems must be installed by an F-Gas certified engineer for the warranty to remain valid. Portable and plug-in units carry no such requirement.
What if I've lost my order number?
Not a problem — we can look you up by email address or delivery postcode.
